We Can help the people in need

Contrary to most of what we hear and probably learn, the greatest value we can create is not in personal acquisitions but in serving other people. If we think about it, it is simple to understand: There is a limit to what we can individually eat, wear, houses we can sleep in, even what we learn and understand! However, there is no limit to what we can do to help feed the hungry, provide water to the thirsty, help educate those who lack the opportunity to go to school, plant trees to help restore the nature and quality of our environment and, therefore, lives. There are just no limits to what we can do to help others!

About Us

The Mahmud El Yakub Foundation is duly registered in Nigeria for the purpose of serving our various peoples in need. The three major areas of intervention are: Education, Provision of water and feeding support, and Planting trees (both economic and non-economic).

Contrary to what we hear and probably learn, the greatest value we can create is not in endless personal acquisitions but in serving others. It is quite easy to understand if we think about it: There is a limit to what we can individually eat, wear, houses we can sleep in, even what we learn and understand! However, there is no limit to what we can do to help educate the children roaming the streets, feed the hungry, provide clean water to the thirsty, plant trees to help restore the nature and quality of our environment and, therefore, lives. There are no limits to what we can do to help others, which in turn benefits us in ways we cannot quantify!

The Foundation model is built on the principles of positive impact, accountability, and sustainability. It provides a platform for each and all of us to participate directly and/or indirectly in helping others. This is at the core of our humanity, crucial to peaceful coexistence, national and global security, and for the pleasure of God.

About mahmud el yakub

PhotofromCanva

Mahmud El Yakub was a first-class software engineer who sadly passed on at the start of a beautiful career and life, aged thirty. He had a brilliant academic run coupled with various professional certifications in his chosen field, and had started a career with an international IT firm in which he was already making substantial contributions.

Mahmud was a kind-hearted young man who had already internalised the desire and passion for helping people in need in various ways from his meagre resources.

Mahmud El Yakub Foundation provides an opportunity for all of us to provide various services to people in need in our little and not-so-little ways. Details on how you can be part of helping to solve problems facing people, improving the lives of community members, and creating opportunities for individuals and groups to be productive members of our nation can be found here....
